Neatline Timeline of the Commissioning of the Bacchus

Important dates surrounding the commissioning of the Bacchus will be mapped on a Neatline timeline. Most of the dates are during the creation of the Bacchus in 1496-1497. The timeline starts from the building of the Cancelleria in 1498 until the publication of Cardinal Riario’s bank accounts by Michael Hirst in 1981.  The Palace della Cancelleria and Jacopo Galli’s garden will be mapped to show the location between the two. In addition, the Uffizi Gallery and Bargello Museum in Florence will be mapped to show the movement of the statue.
